"CICC Night" 15th Anniversary Cocktail Reception Was Held in London

To celebrate its 15th Anniversary, China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) held a cocktail reception at the Mansion House, London, on December 8th, 2010.
The cocktail reception's distinguished guests included Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of China Investment Corporation, Liqun Jin, Chinese Ambassador to the UK, Xiaoming Liu, Alderman and Sheriff Fiona Woolf, CBE, former Chief Executive of British Petroleum, Lord John Browne. The assembled dignitaries recognized that CICC has made remarkable contributions to Sino-UK relations and it was their hope that the opening of CICC's London office will provide investors from the UK and Europe with more business opportunities.
Speaking at the cocktail reception, CICC's Chairman, Jiange Li noted that after 15 years of development, the company has established a sound corporate governance structure. At present, Chinese enterprises are working closely with the London capital market, and it is believed that CICC's international business expansion will provide strong support for Chinese companies to further utilize global capital markets.
Levin Zhu, President and CEO of CICC, also emphasized that CICC has devoted itself to bridging the gap between the Chinese and global capital markets. Given the unique position of the United Kingdom within Europe, CICC would like to assist more Chinese companies to step into London, the United Kingdom and even the European markets. Similarly, it is more than welcome for British companies to choose to go public at the forthcoming Shanghai Stock Exchange International Board.
Over 300 distinguished guests, including former President of the Board of Trade, Lord Mandelson, former Minister of State for Trade Promotion and Investment, Lord Davies, former Secretary of the Cabinet and Head of the Home Civil Service, Lord Wilson, Chairman of the private bank Coutts & Co., Lord Home, the First World Bank Chief Representative in China, Edwin Lim, and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shaukat Aziz attended the cocktail reception and raised their glasses for CICC's continued prosperity and bright future.
