CICC Successfully Held the Fourteenth "CICC Forum 2012"

Amidst an entangling European debt crisis, protracted recovery of the US economy and slackening growth in emerging markets, China is bracing for the 18th CPC Party Congress on November 8th, as well as a smooth transition into a new term of government at the break of 2013, but not without a host of challenges both at home and abroad.
Endorsed by the new leadership, reform can be expected to restart, thus making intensified economic transformation an inevitable choice in tackling those challenges. Policy wise, how shall we face up to challenges both in the international context and on the domestic reform agenda? How to determine the focal and breakthrough areas in the course of economic reform? How to balance the relationship between steady and relatively fast economic growth, gradual advancement of reform and structural shifts of the economy? How to promote integration of IT application and industrialization, interaction between industrialization and urbanization, and coordination between urbanization and agricultural modernization? And how to seize these opportunities? To answer and discuss these questions, CICC held its fourteenth “CICCC Forum” at Diaoyutai.
